Written By Chiropractic Wellness Center on December 3, 2024

In a study on the effects that Chiropractic Biophysics has on the cervical curve, sixty patients were treated by a chiropractor for forward head posture for several visits. The study reported that each patient experienced a reduction in neck pain and headaches as well as other complaints, and also had an average of 14 degree improvement on forward head posture or cervical lordosis. The study was conducted over the span of 16 weeks which is very promising for individuals experiencing pain due to poor posture because of the rapid relief and improvement the patients had. Posture and spinal alignment correlate to every system in the body due to the spinal column housing the central nervous system which is the primary operator of every function in the body. By assessing one’s posture, a doctor of chiropractic can infer many different issues that patient may be experiencing in a wide ranging variety such as headaches and back pain to internal problems like gastrointestinal trouble or vertigo. Of course some postural misalignments can take longer to correct due to the length of time they have been compromised due to lifestyle habits, sleep patterns, job requirements, etc. Getting evaluated sooner rather than later is your first step in an overall healthier spine and thus a healthier life!
